Highest score in one go!

20-04-2021

Noordwijkerhout, The Netherlands – 20 april 2021

Molter Perennials is the first perennial grower/breeder to achieve the highest score for first MPS-ABC qualification

Molter Perennials has only started running for MPS-ABC environmental qualification in 2020, but has already achieved A+, which is the highest score available. Remy Lubbe, founder and owner of Molter Perennials, is delighted with the result.

In January 2020, Molter Perennials has started improving and boosting the environmental friendliness of its activities. From crop protection to the activities within Molter’s tissue culture laboratory; Molter has made sure everything has been taken care of from start to finish. These efforts and all of this hard work has ensured that Molter Perennials has received an MPS-A+ certificate in March 2021. This certification was also made possible by Molter’s contract growers in Overijssel, The Netherlands. Remy Lubbe about the certification: “We are incredibly proud to be the only perennial grower/breeder in the A+ category. This was our first qualification ever, so it’s safe to say we’re very happy to have achieved the highest score on the first try. The MPS-A+ certification also motivates us to work even harder, so next year we can improve our score of 108,3, and aim for a perfect score of 110.”

About MPS-ABC

MPS-ABC is more than just a certificate. It’s a monitoring tool which companies can use to reduce the impact of their company on the environment. By registering the total use of energy, fertilizers, water, crop protection and litter, MPS-ABC calculates the sustainability of a company’s production. This leads to awareness among growers; they can use the calculations made by MPS-ABC to make their company and its activities more sustainable.
