MLTR BREEDING

Molter B.V. started breeding perennials in 2002. Due to the great success of the Penstemon Riding Hood Series, we have developed a great passion and interest for the development of new, exclusive perennials. On account of this passion, MLTR Breeding was founded.

The key activity from MLTR Breeding is the breeding of perennials. The demand for perennials with specific attributes, both for potted plants as well as the cutflower market, increased rapidly. These attributes include strong plants which are resistant to multiple diseases and plagues, so the plants do not need any pesticide treatment. Another goal is to breed a variety of perennials for different geographic and climatologic areas in the world.

Anne's Family™

By now we know all about the blue geranium that blew our branche's mind over 20 years ago, but... You can fully forget about it now! Please meet Anne's Family™ : our brand new, unique family containing geraniums varying in color, which Molter has now officially gotten plant breeder's rights for! Anne's Family™ is a compact geranium, which makes them an easy kind to cultivate in pots. They start flowering in May, and you can enjoy their presence up until the first night frost. These new geraniums come in an array of colors, such as pink, dark purple, ligther purple and lilac. Kelly-Anne® is our very first find in these series. Back in 2018 we have started experimenting with multiple different geraniums. Finally, in 2019, we have selected our first geranium from our own tissue culture garden. This is the same year in which we named our first unique geranium Kelly-Anne, with whom we continued experimenting until we found the entirety of Anne's Family™!
